I Fall Apart!

I Fall Apart!

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

he comes to me in dreams

i fall apart at the seams

my once love

so handsome

so tall

every now and then

i am reminded of him

just a glance

a sweet romance

a dance away

we walk together

we talk a while

he makes me smile

once again

he is my friend

unto the end

of my dream

i awaken

shaken into reality

for he isn't really here with me

must you only be in my dreams

and so this nightmare screams

out for you in the middle of the night

dedicated to my lost love...

Our dreams can be such bittersweet reminders of something heartrending, as easily as they can be reminders of something blissful, can they not? Or perhaps it is all in one. Nevertheless, this is a wonderful piece, it serves as a gentle remembrance of how our losses and dreams help us to further grow and create. :]

I'm sorry for your loss. Dreams do make things seem real.

The most terrible and the most wonderful things can happen in our dreams. Speaking only for myself, I have had dreams that affected me as much as real, waking events have. Losing a dream lover to the rising sun is something I've experienced, and the longing that I was left with was real. Your poem does a terrific job of reminding me of those feelings. Thank you.

If only we could make our dreams and turn them to reality, that obviously is the theme of this poem. It's hint of loneliness and longing is so deep and worth cherishing.

Forget what the person below me said I loved it. I have felt this way at times before. Don't you just hate that. Great work sweetie I really enjoyed this wonderful piece. Orlando

Hmmthe cadence and the expression needs a bit of work, but I like the regret, yearning and emptiness you put into it.
