Insomnia

Insomnia

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

My penknife grows weary as I write

Another dark and sleepless night

Staggering, staggering...

Enter into this world of gloom

Insomnia must be thy doom

Staggering, staggering...

Aware of where my soul doth dwell

Into this most hideous pit of hell

Staggering, staggering...

Another dark and sleepless night

My penknife grows weary as I write

I can sure relate to this one. I have too many of those sleepless nights. Makes it real tough getting up the next morning to go to work.

I can totally relate!!! I just wrote a poem about Insomnia, too! We must be thinking on similar wavelengths! ;) Liked the rhyme/rhythm scheme, and loved the subject. Good job! :D

I like this. Its kind of mysterious in a way. I like that the ending recalling the beginning. Very well done.
