Can Someone Mend My Broken Heart?

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa
"

Please don't drink and drive!

"

C an someone mend my broken heart

A fter my son was killed it was shattered into pieces

N ow I am left alone with tears in my eyes

S omeone come to my rescue

O h tell me it can't be true

M y precious child has been taken from my arms

E ven the angel's cry

O h tell me it can't be true

N ot him Lord up above please not him

E ven the angel's cry

M orning comes so suddenly

E ach day goes by I am sadder

N ot a moment do I not shed a tear

D amn I just wish he was here with me

M y heart is as heavy as it can be

Y ou see he meant the world to me

B obby was his nickname

R obert was such a beautiful human being

O h Lord take care of him for me

K eep him with a smile upon his face

E very now and then give him a hug

N ow and then let him know I miss him so

H ave mercy on me Lord

E very moment I survive another day without him here by my side

A mother's heart's been torn in two and I know not what to do

R each out Lord from the heaven's above

T ranscend your eternal love

No child should go before us. This is a wonderful testament to how much you loved your son. A brave thing to bring it forth this way and get a message out that someone will see and maybe think twice before they step out. I applaud this that you have done. Huge blessings to you!

It is hard to imagine the pain you feel, my only response is I am so very sorry for your loss...children are such a rare gift...and so is your poem.

I am so sorry for your loss
I have had losses in the past, but I don't know what I would do if I lost one of my sons
I feel your pain and wish I could help
Your poem has made me realize
I should try to spend more time with my sons and grand children
I feel for you, be well

debileah,

This was the most open of all the poems about your son. Your pain and sorrow over the tragdy is clear. I feel your pain and wish I could do something to help ease it.

Through the suffering you're feeling you have produced a clear and well flowing piece. Your talent is alive and your son is your muse. God Bless.

Beautiful and heart felt. Can feel your pain and the cry of your heart to hold your son. Praying for you Deb...Only God can give you the strength to carry on and only He can heal your heart. Cry out to Him, for He too, lost His only son and He above all, knows how you feel.

I am so, so sorry. But despite the pain that I know has to be worse than any other on earth, you managed to pull together a beautiful piece of poetry. I hope that you are doing okay and remember, even though you don't know me and I could be anyone, this "anyone" really does care. I'm glad you chose to share this work with us. It is beautifully written and moving. This will make anyone feel.
