The Glass City

The Glass City

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Ain't it a pity

Living in the glass city

Wasting precious time

Too much crime

On her streets of brick

Her smog is so thick

You can cut it with a knife

Stuck here for rest of my natural life

I pray to my Creater

When I read the daily paper

Cause I get the blues

When I watch the news

On TV

Woe is me

Ain't it a shame

Who's to blame

Could it be the mayor

Does anybody care
