The Way We Were

The Way We Were

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

T he way we were when we were young

H olding hands and walking in the rain

E njoying one another's company

W hat a wonderful feeling lover's at first sight

A  stolen kiss in the middle of the night

Y ou and I under the moonlight

W hat a beautiful magic filled the air

E nchanted by first love and our feet were bare

W hat a spell we were under when we were younger

E verything was roses and sweet chocolate candies

R emember darling the way we were

E very day was special between you and I
