Knocking on Heaven's Door

Knocking on Heaven's Door

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

K eep knocking on heaven's door my son

N ow that you have crossed over to the other side

O pen your beautiful blues eyes

C an you see the beauty there at the pearly gates as you stand

K nocking on heaven's door

I  know the angel's will lead you there

N o more tears in heaven shall you cry

G ave all you had to give here on earth, you even gave your life

O h what a beautiful person you were to give up your life for another

N ow in heaven you shall be blessed for all of eternity

H e laid down his life for his brother

E veryone now sees him as a hero in their eyes

A  wonderful young man he was

V ery much loved by his family and friends

E ach day he is missed more than words can say

N ow that he's gone to knock on heaven's door

S eemed so suddenly, he left so suddenly

D own on my knees I pray

O h lord take care of him

O h lord take care of him

R obert Stephen Krempa my beloved son

This is a beautiful tribute... both to your son and to Dylan. It is a powerful work. My prayers are with you. Such sadness, yet such beauty.

I'm so sorry about your son.

This poem really shares the love you had for him, your admiration of the person he became. Much empathy.

I think this young person has died for their country. At least I think this. You have written a heartfelt poem and all the love is seen in your lovely imagery. Bless you and hope that your pain eases soon my friend. HUGS xxxxxAnne
