Thoughts about you

Thoughts about you

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

T houghts about you

H ow you made me so blue

O ften I remember the

U gliness that our marriage became while you played your

G ames not caring about my
H eart and how you broke it into pieces

T ossed me aside

S chemed and lied

A ll about you it was always all about you

B ooze and drugs and hanging with thugs is all you ever knew

O ut and about doing your street thing

U ncaring you were

T hinking about only yourself

Y ou had such selfish ways

O n your deathbed you paid and so did your family

U sed us and abused us when all we ever wanted was your love

I like acrostic poems that can carry the theme throughout, you do that nicely here. Even with the betrayal and anger the words present, the reader can still feel your profound sense of loss.

Very well written.
