Life on Elm StreetA Poem by Deborah Leah KrempaL ife on Elm Street is hardship and heartache for my family I nherited this house some ten years ago wish we would have let it go F or our own sake for it just isn't worth the sacrifices we have made E ach of us tried our best to make this shack into a home
O nly to run into problems finding it wasn't worth renovation N ot worth the emotional and financial price we have to pay
E lm Street has turned from a nice neighborhood into a ghetto area L eaving us at high risk of crime and we are scared all the time M y family is hard working and deserves so much better than this
S tress is an everyday word and we can't even think about selling it T he house is substandard and so in need of work to get it up to code R efurberishing is such a heavy burden our hearts carry a heavy load E verything is falling apart and we may soon become homeless E lm Street has become a curse on us a living nightmare we must endure T his is what life on Elm Street is like and how we foresee the future © 2008 Deborah Leah KrempaReviews
