L agrange Street is where we first met
A t a tavern in my hometown
G reen eyed and handsome was he
R eal tall and gentle as could be
A ll the gals adored him but he liked me
N ow let me tell you he was a true
G entleman and his name was Jeffrey Lynn
E ach song on the jukebox he danced with me

S ince then I fell in love with Jeffrey Lynn
T hat green eyed handsome gentleman
R eal tall and gentle as he could be
E very gal envied me
E very time he danced with me
T hat dance we romanced all night
