It hurtsA Poem by Deborah Leah Krempai watch as she goes through the motions of everyday living knowing she's just existing is killing me it hurts to see her this way her hair is umkempt no make-up does she wear anymore no more nail polish no pretty dress or high-heel shoes just an old robe that's tattered and torn she never cries anymore but you can see the sadness in her eyes the sorrow in her heart the pain she feels deep inside where she hides don't you know it hurts to see her this way it hurts even more than these words can say it hurts to be me today this is me since my son passed away and i know he wouldn't want to see me this way
