Country Kitchen

Country Kitchen

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Welcome to my country kitchen.

Won't you come on in?

Canary Yellow & Lavendar Calico Curtains

Laced Lilac Paisley Tablecloth

Coffee Perkin

Or would you prefer

to have a cup of tea?

Honey

Lemon

Sugar

Would you like to sit

and chat with me for a little while?

Toast

Butter

Jelly or Jam

Welcome to my country kitchen

Won't you come on in?

Awe, I love this Debileah. So light hearted, free, and cheery! You have welcomed me into that little country kitchen of yours. I'll have coffee with lots of cream and toast with the butter and jam, lady! Now, that's hospitality! :-) I love your quaint kitchen with the calico curtains and the paisley table cloth and I can smell that coffee a perking! Tell me more about colors! What color are your calico curtains?? What color is your table cloth? I can feel the warmth in this write and if you add colors it will liven it up even more. This is delightful! So inviting....:-) :-) :-)

Such a heart felt write. It seemed inviting and pure. Your warm invitation to just join you for a nice conversation over some tea or coffee was blissful. I really loved this piece.

This is sweet!
Yes I will come in...and partake in a hot tea with honey and lemon...then crawl into a cozy bed with feather pillows and goose down comforter.
I think I have bronchitis...

I love those country kitchens, and the one you describe sounds perfect. A very nice poem, Debileah. Sam
