Love letters

Love letters

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Love letters written long ago

On notebook paper instead of fancy stationary

Velvet and satin words written to impress me

Engraved into my heart of stone

Love letters written long ago

Eccentric words to captivate my soul

These words he wrote so long ago

Trying to win me back with his

Enticing words

Return to sender I should have sent them back with the postmaster

So much for happily ever after

Very bitter memories expressed here and written in acrostic, and "his" letters and words are the subject. thank you for sharing.

This sounds like a woman scorned, who now has a hardend heart, I can feel the loathing of this person in your words, like you are saying, "How dare he even attempt such an act" this is very discriptive.
