dear stranger

dear stranger

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

dear stranger

you have come to my rescue

finally my pain

shall be released

and i

shall be set free

for many years

i floated upon the waves of raging seas

no one to comfort me

a cologne bottle as my ship

now i rest in your trusted hands

i have been found

by you

this letter was written

for you to find

me

for my ship went down a long long time ago

by the time you read this letter my friend

i will have already met my end

so dear stranger

i release

my pain to you

i release to you

my broken heart

and shattered soul

for you hold

in the palm of your hands

the remnants of me

written with blood instead of ink

on fine white linen cloth

fit for a king

I hope the "king" read this long before it was too late. A lovely poem. Thank you for sharing
