Checkers or Chess

Checkers or Chess

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Checkers or Chess it's the games that we play

Haven't heard from you in quite a while my friend

Every night and everyday I seem to miss you more

Can't stand the lonliness can't take the pain

Keep playing this game of solitare here all alone

Every night and everyday I seem to miss you more

Roleplay is a game I refuse to play all by myself

Solitare seems to be my one and only game

Othello takes two players

Roll the dice I could play yatsee

Checkers or Chess it's the games that we play

Have to get kinged or cornered in Checkmate

Every night and every day I miss you more

Solitary games if I play my cards right

Solitary games I'll be with you tonight
