C andy coated lies was all he told me

A nd weak allibies is all that he gave

N ot a day went by did he ever tell the truth

D eceived me right from the very start

Y ou know I fell so sweetly for his candy coated lies

 

C aressed me

O h so tenderly with his cheating hands

A rms that wrapped me warmly in a blanket of disguise

T hose eyes that seduced me with candy coated lies

E ach time I looked into those eyes of changing hues

D esire for him lit a fire that burned in my very soul

 

L ies and weak alibis

I s all that he told me

E ach time I let him hold me

S educed me with those eyes telling me candy coated lies

I really really liked this very creative and powerful poem. This has to be the most creative thing that I've read on this site. The content is familiar to me. Having been a victim of deception and left to live in the wake of dispair that goes along with a cheating lover.
