Silent Tears!

Silent Tears!

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

S ilent tears shed in the middle of the night

I  lie awake unable to sleep

L  ingering in my mind are thoughts of that horrific car crash

E scape...

N o...there is no escape

T wo people injured and two people died

T hese thoughts race through my manic mind

E scape...there is no escape...no place to hide

A s I feel such pain, hurt, and rage

R age...at losing my son because of a drunk driver

S ometimes I just lie here for hours...

I hope that these lines weren't true, but I fear they are. I'm so sorry for your loss, which you put in words to this tragic poem. Rain..
