Tired

Tired

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Tired hands aged with time

Hard to believe they belong to me

What a mere ten years can do

Sooner or later life catches up to you

Every line and wrinkle upon your face

Tells of a different time

A different place

Tired feet that ache with pain

From walking so many miles

Sometimes I find it hard to smile

Too many troubles

Too many worries

Everyone is in such a hurry

Me?

I just got too damn tired of it all

So I looked into the mirror

As I wrote this all down

Before I fall asleep

To dream

Of another time

Another place

This piece is very simple with so much meaning to me. I've always believed hands tell many stories of their owner's life. Great job conveying such a clear picture in few words

Hi debileah, nice expression and I too am getting older but not yet giving up because I'm still having fun writing. I look foward to reading more of your poems.

"To dream of another time, another place." It's so very explortative, your poem is. More like delving into your soul, searching for the meaning of Time.
