Tons of Steel

Tons of Steel

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Tons of steel and twisted metal

Caused by a drunk driver

His foot on the pedal

He walks away

With innocent blood stains

on his shaky hands

What more does it take

to make him understand

Now he sits in a prison cell

scratching his head

While his victims lie injured

and dead

Hon. I know you are still hurting and possibly hate the person that did this,,,but from the spouse abuse that left me disabled for life..I know that Christ wants us to forgive the offender and pray for their souls..It was hard for me all of those years os seizures and in and out of hospitals in different states..But for my own good and for life to go on..I had to bury a lot of the pain..I think it would help you a lot to concentrate upon all of the things you loved about your son and not on his being gone ..easy to say but hard to do I expect you are thinking..In a short period of time I lost both parents and 4 siblings..The siblings were younger thatn I am now and I miss them terribly..lol and God bless..you have me prayers..Valentine

Very sad and yet powerful! More people should read this and realize that drinking and driving is not a good thing! Great poem!
