Oval Mirror

Oval Mirror

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Lonely girl

Ugly girl

is all she sees

Sitting in front

of her oval mirror

She reaches for her foundation

to cover up her her blemishes

A dab of consealer

to hide the dark circles under hazel eyes

A touch of taupe rouge

to highlight her cheek bones

Purple eyeshadow and black mascara

Lonely girl

Ugly girl

is all you see

Sitting in front

of your oval mirror

You are as pretty

as the picture that you paint

into the image of your oval mirror

I'm a very visual person, and i like to apply images to what i'm reading, you do a great job with that. I imagine this in color accent, the only color i see is the eyeshadow and the light rouge, even her eyes are deep grey.

I love this. The message, as well as the image is beautiful.
