If words could kill

If words could kill

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

I recall the harsh words you said

They were sharper than a razor's edge

As you left and slammed the door

It nearly hit me in the face

I felt so out of place

I remember how you called me names

How you thought that I was playing games

Inside your head

Inside your head

Inside your head

You know if words could kill

then I'd be dead

Sad part is I'll never forget

the things you said

You hurt me and you know it's true

I never did a thing to you

It was you who made me blue

It was you

You never knew how to be true

to my heart

You were unfaithful

from the very start

Everything you touch you tear apart

So good-bye

So long

Fare thee well

Go to hell

This love is dead

This love is dead

This love is dead

wow indeed. I could not have written it better. you have taken the emotion of a bitter argument and betrayel and clearly defined it here with a precision that makes each stanza stand out on it's own.

very well done.

I agree, the emotion in this poem is intense. I especially liked the line 'Everything you touch you tear apart.' My ex was just like that. Some people leave destruction in their wake everywhere they tread. I love the repetition and the rhyme. This is a great write! Thanks for sharing.

wow...there is a lot of emotion in this...I can almost see the anguished look onb your face and the tears brimming and falling down your cheeks...I am amazed at the volumes spoken in these few lines...most definitely going in my favorites
