You

You

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

When the tiny buds come upon the trees

As they magically turn into leaves

I'll think of you in the early spring

When the robin comes back to Ohio

From his vacation in the south

I'll think of you in the early spring

When I go for a drive

Down an old lover's lane

I'll remember you and ease my pain

I'll remember you when I walk in the rain

When I wake up with the sunshine

on a cloudy day

I'll remember the rainbow smiles

you sent my way

When I look into the curious

eyes of a child

chasing butterflies

I'll remember you

My darling, I'll always remember you.
