Time

Time

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Down to my last dime

Seems I'm running out of time

To do the things in life I always wanted to do

Maybe I'm making excuses, I just don't know

That clock just keeps on ticking away

Down to my last heartbeat

Need to stop looking at my feet

Feeling such defeat

Time to find a brand new song

make right what's wrong with me

Cause I'm down to my last dime

and I'm running out of time

Walk a mile in my shoes

Try hard not to sing the blues

Let the sun shine through the clouds today

Come what may

Cause I'm down to my last dime

and I'm running out of time
