NightmaresA Poem by Deborah Leah KrempaAnother nightmare it seems has interrupted my dreams As I wake up in a sweat shaking from my screams I stumble to turn on the light It's the middle of the night
Walking down the darkened hallway still in a sleepy daze Thinking about you my mind still in a haze
I slide down the wall and crumble to the floor curled up in a ball and I cry These lonely tears I sob for you Wonder why you had to die and I cry
The nightmares they come and go Your memory lingers on You died so tragicly Times like these Life just isn't fair Seems like no one cares So I turn to God in prayer I wonder can he hear me Is he really with me tonight I'm having too much trouble reaching for his light © 2008 Deborah Leah Krempa |
