Nightmares

Nightmares

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Another nightmare it seems

has interrupted my dreams

As I wake up in a sweat

shaking from my screams

I stumble to turn on the light

It's the middle of the night

Walking down the darkened hallway

still in a sleepy daze

Thinking about you

my mind still in a haze

I slide down the wall

and crumble to the floor

curled up in a ball

and I cry

These lonely tears I sob for you

Wonder why you had to die

and I cry

The nightmares they come and go

Your memory lingers on

You died so tragicly

Times like these

Life just isn't fair

Seems like no one cares

So I turn to God in prayer

I wonder can he hear me

Is he really with me tonight

I'm having too much trouble

reaching for his light

he is there deep inside you and it is that strength that carries even when you do not feel it.

this is very tragicly written and bespeaks the sorrow deeply. I feel for you sister.
