Portraiture

A Poem by debileah

P ortrait of my daughter.

O f my own flesh and blood.

R eflection of her mother.

T he very essence of my womb.

R eflection in the mirror.

A n attribute to her soul.

I n attribute to my own.

T o simulate me, a portraiture.

U nveiling the woman she has become.

R evealing this portrayal, this parody.

E ntertaining to mimic me.
