the seamstress

the seamstress

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

I enjoy sewing, arts&crafts, making dolls, quilts, Elvis purses, handbags, and collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia. The seamstress she sews so elegantly. With knowing hands so delicately. Stockings she mends. Making gifts for her friends. She makes things from scratch. A master at her craft. A patchwork quilt. A doll made of silk. A trip to fabric store. Buying sewing notions and so much more. The seamstress she has such wonderful dreams. Filled with ideas, and bursting at the seams. All for the magic of needle and thread. A handmade teddy bear to sit on her bed.
