My Tribute to Lewis Crystal, poet, editor and publisher of FM Magazine

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

I lost a friend today
He was a beautiful soul
Lewis Crystal

When I think about you
I will imagine
Being in New York City
Riding on the subway
Strolling  through Central Park
Painting grafiti on boxcars
at the train station
Neon lights and the moon at night
A beautiful sunrise and what it feels like
To taste freedom and experience a writer's life

Lewis Crystal
I will always  remember you
My dear friend and colleage
A fellow author, a man I met on facebook
I wrote volumes  of poetry and prose
When I lost my only son
Due to a drunk driver

My heart was broken and my soul, shattered
So I turned to my computer, and the keys took flight
I mourned, I remembered and I cried my heart out
For someone, anyone, to hear my words

Then one day, out of the blue
You befriended me
You had read some of my poetry
You told me your admired my writing
You offered to publish a few
In your  FM Online Magazine
I was sweetly impressed and quite flattered

Crystal Lewis
I will always remember  you

Wonderful sentiments for an on line friend and fellow poet. I too have many on site that I can call friends. Valentine
