Romance

Romance to me is a dance with the one you love
It is the look in a lover's eyes
A toast of champagne
 
Romance is sharing conversation and a cup of tea
On a warm summer day
It is loving you and you loving me

Romance is the sweet smile you gave to me
Back in the day when we first met
Something I cherish and shall never forget

Romance is your hand holding mine
A feeling of intimacy, so divine
Knowing your heart beats only for me

Romance is the way you kiss me, so passionately
Sometimes just a peck to say hello
For your kiss upon my lips is heavenly to me

Romance is sharing a lifetime of ups and downs
Giggles, laughter and frowns
Knowing you will always be around

Romance is knowing when my hair is graying
You shall still see me as young as spring and beautiful
The way love is meant to be

This poem is quite lovely. The line "Knowing you will always be around" really touches a chord for me. That's what I want most in romance... for my husband to always be around. Great job with writing a beautiful poem!
