Drunk Driving Prevention? Lost my son to a drunk driver!

A Story by Deborah Leah Krempa

Alcoholism is a self inflicted disease, is a selfish state of mind, and the choices one makes under the influence are detrimental to the lives of others as well as one's self. When allowed to get behind the wheel of an automobile the auto becomes a potential deadly weapon in the hands of an idiot. no pun intended, my son was killed and maimed by a drunk driver, he saved the life of tiny toddler of 4 yrs old who was scalped and had to have his crown sewn back together, he also lost his mother that day, and his father injured in a coma, the 4yr old identified my son and his parents to the police officer that found them, the accident happened because it was during a police chase, whereas the perpetrator was running from police. and so caused a horrible wreck. We need ZERO TOLERANCE ON OUR ROADS AND HIGHWAYS, We need the devices to stop the automobile from moving when someone is drunk, we need tougher laws, and more rehabilitation centers . They tear down old hospitals and old schools when they could be putting these buildings to good use. The tax payers should be able to have a vote as to the use of these structures in their communities for the welfare of it s citizens, we need more dry counties. The drunk driver in our case only got ten years in prison for killing 2 innocent, people injuring two, where is the justice in that? He was multiple time offender of drinking and driving, also was high on cocaine, is he being punished to the extent of the laws of this land or is he being rehabilitated by spending time in prison? or will get out one day and do it again, or commit a worse crime? I wonder. and I don't like what my eyes can't see.
