Oh Sweet LOve

Oh Sweet LOve

A Poem by Debby Carlson

Innocence before

the first blush has faded
when hearts race in playful cadence,
reading feelings yet not spoken
magical dances timeless and  unbroken.

Just a whisper

and the brush of a hand,

fingers entwine without command,

Oh sweet love fresh as a spring day

believing this kindness will never stray.

Remember to laugh

before you both forget

how precious it is without regret,

before anything of tomorrow is said

and while the kisses are on lips still red.

Reading this was like watching a artist paint. Every words fell into place and brought together a lovely scene that indulges my senses.
