Always A Broken Heart

Always A Broken Heart

A Poem by Deborah Brooks-Langford

Simply seeing you , tracing your every word

Its been a very long time my dear

tears have come and gone

and then there you are  so near

Are you still my darling?

are you still my love?

do you hold my meaning

in your mighty hands?

You just called me wonderful

you just told me true

oh how I have missed you

my love, your always near, my broken heart again..

You broke my heart so many times

my tears were so real

and now I look and there you stand

I can not say no, is that so wrong?.....

Your kisses I still long for

remembering our love and play

the blanket in the woods, brings my heart to you this day

the memories of joy, of traces of bliss...

I can't get you out of my head

when you come to me  like this

the look in your eyes, the longing I do see

yes my darling , I do love you, please I beg take me,

take me I cry...

Yes, always I can say,

always I believe

always there will I be

always yes always take me...

Always my love.. Break my heart again..

Your words gently drip with the warm blood of a broken heart.
We cannot help but ache for the poet and silently call out to not make the same mistake. Definitely a moving creation, dear poet.
