The Bag of Nectar
©Debanjalee Sen
Carrying the bag full of nectar on my shoulders, I walk on like a fool.
Knowing not, that I can taste it, I walk on like an ignorant beggar and go from door to door.
The long path takes me nowhere, and I ask them, if they know the road ahead, if they know whether there you stay?
None of them answer me and walk past me like strangers!
Ah! How stone hearted are they, full of vanity and ego, they talk not to me.
What neighbors are they, if they are not of any service!
I beg them to arrange our meeting for once, and I promise to be their bondservant forever!
