Disappointment

Disappointment

A Poem by Joselyn.
"

I kind of... Had a bad day.

"

What would you do
If everything you knew
Came crashing down around you?
Would you run and hide,
Or step aside?
Would hope for it to pass right by,
And hope for the best,
Just like the rest?
Don’t just sit around,
You have to act,
But don’t stand against what you can’t change,
Or you will fall
You will fall deep,
Into a very dark hole,
The dark shroud that it is,
It follows the weak,
Follows them down every winding street.
It lurks in the dark
Ready to start feeding
Upon its next unwilling victim
Wanting nothing more than to live of her or him.
We cannot see this dark, dark hole,
We cannot see this lurking crow,
It’s feathers oh so black and glossed,
We cannot see it charge at us.
This hole is what today we call
Utter disappointment.

I quite enjoyed this, Joselyn. Very nicely written. I can feel the emotion coming from it, and I hink that's important for poetry. Very nice, all around.
