bricks

bricks

A Poem by Ashley
"

i wrote this a few months ago, too. although it really applies at the moment.

"

in case you were ever wondering,

you still mean the world to me.

even as you intentionally,

or subconciously build walls to keep something out,

or keep something in,

i'm standing beside you breaking it down,

brick by brick,

thought by thought.

if there's any hope at all for you

or for me or for us

i'll find it through the mortar and cement,

your emotional barricades.
