Bus Lights

Bus Lights

A Story by Paige

She sat on the park bench waiting for something, or anything. Her red hair was falling into her eyes and her back was hunched over trying to protect herself from the cold. Thoughts and memories ran through her head like a movie played in fast forward. She saw her birthday parties, holding her baby brother for the first time, her first date, homecoming, football games with her friend. None of those happy memories brought a smile to her face, though. Nothing could anymore.
When she turned eighteen, and her boyfriend died in a motorcycle accident, she had fallen into a spiraling depression. She missed him desperately. They were going to go to college together and then get married after they graduated. Nothing works like that in the real world though. No plans go as smoothly as people may think they will.
She stood up off of the bench as the bus lights came into view. She was going to get away. She didn't leave a note for her family. She left and never looked back.

I think she should wake up with some kind of supernatural experience, and forever changes her life :)

Dark and romantic. Once again, I like the ideas behind your stories.
