Wrath

Second of seven poems I'm in the process of writing, each with the theme of the cardinal sins.

Pain is buried deep within the caverns
of a soul in search of long lost youth.
Angry flames roar furiously
drowning out heavy sobs.
Lips trembling, chest tight,
tears flow like hot lava.
Pain is second nature after years
of awaiting a savior that never showed.
