Eulogy of Mcconaughew BabooA Poem by Deanthe Eulogy of Mcconaughew BabooMcconaughew baboo was a monkey in a zoo, with a butt painted
pink and blue. He would put his butt in the air, and every female would
stare, wondering if it wasn’t a bit purple too. He walked his cage to and to, at that local zoo, looking for
his dream Mrs.baboo. He tried to laugh, but he always seemed mad. Because none of the monkeys were true, they only liked him
because he had a light color of blue. He was the king of his cage, which was true, because he had
the pointiest teeth of any monkey at the zoo. One day a moon; blue, he saw the biggest behind, with the
most beautiful design. It had a bit of pink, blue, purple, orange, and green too. And the moon; blue, stood blue, over smitten Mcconaughew. But she wasn’t at all like Mcconaughew, she more like a
giant bird. With bright feathers everywhere even a few to spare. Mcconaughew tried to put his butt in the air but she wouldn’t
stare. Finally Mcconaughew tried to smile and say hello, but his
teeth freaked her out, because she didn’t know. In horror she ran away, not noticing her tiny, lake. Mcconaughew cried and howled, as he saw his sweet love drown.
Mcconaughew sat quiet, seeing his love silent, never to move,
under the moon; blue. Mcconaughew stopped eating for 28 days more ,till the moon
became whole. The final day of full moon, Mcconaughew threw himself at her
foot, at foot of the moon. and never again moved. © 2013 DeanAuthor's Note
