six seeds

A Poem by mads
"

a brief allusion to the tale of persephone.

"
---
to open a ripe pomegranate
one must kiss its flesh gently with a blade
coaxing it to peel open and inside
inside

you see its glistening drops of garnet
you wonder if its juices taste bitter
you think to yourself, how foolish she was
