Angel

Angel

A Poem by Anthony Q Armstrong

Angels fly,
And angels die.
They battle through and through,
And will never fly like they once flew.

You, My Angel, will always fly.
The darkened wings will never hinder thee,
You can't change what's meant to be.

I love that second line about angels dying--people don't usually think of that when they ponder angels, and the word angel itself can mean so many thing. I'd cut the first line and just start off with "angels die" Thanks for sharing.

How very heart felt. This makes me think of a long, hard struggle... one that the angel must fight but ends up discovering the joy necessary to make it through. Very beautiful. Very sweet. Keep it up!

I like it, it feels like a poem of freedom. An angel was born to fly yet will always return to the one they love. I liked this alot actually I'm sorry if I didn't take away the message you was trying to portray.
