A Friend's LoveA Poem by Anthony Q ArmstrongThe way you made me smile, Even through a text. I felt as if I could run a mile, And always run the next. How sweet you are to me, How could this ever be. I loved you once Not so long ago. I miss you so much now, I pray you never go. You have left, Yet kept your promise. It was me who committed the theft, The theft of life and love, Peace and Serenity. One day it will be okay. But not today. Someday soon this poem will be reborn, From the ashes it soon lay. It lay still and cold, Withering in pain. Like a Phoenix, Born from the fire. A new poem will rise, This time free of desire. - An Anthony Armstrong Original
