Sad sad eyes

Sad sad eyes

A Poem by dead poet 79
"

another contest piece

"

The lady in white,

Gazes at me,

With those sad sad eyes.

She wonders what will be

What will become of everything

That is about.

Wondering where I will

Be the next time

That she need to talk

To me.

Her white dress,

Flows so beautifully

In the summer wind.

Knowing that I

Will only let her down

Again.

As hard as I try

I keep failing her.

My love for her is eternal.

She knows my love is true.

My how she must feel.

All the sadness in the world,

Wrapped up in her retinas.

My God

Can you help me bring

That radiant smile back

To her wonderful face.

The one I remember when we

First met

Two years ago.
