Fatefull night back in '73

A Poem by dead poet 79
"

A contest that I entered. Had to start with "It all started". Poem is totally fiction. I wasn't even born in '73. Hope you all enjoy.

"

It all started that

Fatefull night

Back in '73.

We where just kids then,

No one knew what the future held.

Thats when you told me

That you where pregnant.

"What should we do?"

I, replied.

"I already got rid of it"

Shock went through my body

"How could you do such a thing

Without even talking to me first?"

The look on your face almost

Killed me.

"Thats my decision and my decision

Only not yours"

That was the last night

We ever talked.

I still think back to that time

And think

What if?

What if you would have

Kept the baby.

How would our lives have changed?

Would we still be together?

The bottle keeps the memory with me.

Oh, wonder what the baby would look like?

A boy?

A girl?

Twins maybe?

Only God knows that answer.

But, dont worry,

Jack will always be in my hand

Keeping that memory

Burning inside of me.
