The Story of Kate: Some things never change

part12, this is were I have hit a wall. Not sure where I want this to go from here. Any comments/ Suggestions are welcomed.

Some things never change
Is what Charles thought
About his brother.
Did he know Kate?
Was she right,
And did come in contact with
Bret?
He made a few calls and
Tried to find out some info on Kate.
But, without her knowing where
She is from
Or even her last name.
The search would be long.
Charles spent the next week
On the phone with friends in
Different bureaus.
No one having any information
On poor little Kate.
Every few days he would go out to the
Farm to talk with Kate,
To see if any of her memory had come back.
But, each time to no avail.
Everything is cloudy at best
Kate would tell him.
Each time his brother would be
There looking at Kate and Abagail.

Then one time
He noticed that Kate
Spit out the pill that his brother had given her.
He asked her about it.
She was shocked,
Didnt think anyone was watching.
"Please dont say anything to him.
I'm still convinced that I have
Seen your brother before"

"I promise that I wont say anything"

Charles left,
Went back to his office to
Make some more phone calls.
This time it wasnt about Kate,
It was to check on his brothers
Activity for the last 6 years.
