The Story of Kate: The Sheriff arrives

The next morning the sheriff
Arrived at the farm with
The Doc.
As they walked up onto the porch
Kate asked "Why is the Doc here?"
Ester replied "He is Sheriff McKenzies brother"
Kate did not like this.
She pretended to be tired and ill
And asked the Sheriff to come
Back another time.
Kate went in and went to
Her room.
Sherrif McKenzie stayed on the porch.
And talked to Ester for awhile.
He kept looking in to see if
Kate was listening.
"Why did she ask about my brother?"
"She has been asking alot of questions
About your brother.
She is convinced that she has
Met him previously before
Arriving on our doorstep."
"Well, I'll find out what he knows
And find out where Kate
Came from. I'll make a few
Calls to my friends in the bureau."
Sherrif McKenzie and the Doc
Got into his car and left.
Ester went in to check on Kate.
