the break in

the break in

A Poem by dead poet 79

she cried into her hands

the day will never be the same

she has lost the love

of her life

everything started as a normal day

they both got out of bed early

went to a tiny little restaurant

that they loved

ate the same breakfast

as they have done numerous times

left and went back home

pulling into the driveway

they noticed that the front door was open

he gets out of the car

and tells her

                      stay here

he slowly walks into the house

she waits in the car

creeping into the door

      HEY WHO ARE YOU

then silence

a man runs from the house

she gets out of the car and runs into the house

alot of blood everywhere

she screams for him

           JAMES

his body is laying on the floor

no movement

she runs to his side

         JAMES get up

          get up

as she begins to cry

picks up the phone

calls 911

help me

hes bleeding everywhere

the police come

hes already dead

she cries into her hand

the days will never be the same

the house is sold

now she is living far away

but at night

she still sees him

laying on the floor

with blood all around

wakes up in a cold sweat

night after night

tries to move on

remarries

has a child

but still

the image of his body

will not leave her memory
