She came up to a farm. What strength she had left She ran to the door. And knocked weakly It was early morning. An old lady came to the door. "OH! Lord! What has happened to you?" Kate fell to her knees. "Honey come quick!" Old lady helped Kate to Her feer and into a bedroom. "Dear what is going on here?" "I dont know she was at the front door this way. Get me some scissors and warm water quick." The old man fetched the supplies. And they cleaned up and took Care of Kate and the baby. They phoned for the doctor And he made his way Out to the tiny farm house That afternoon. Kate and the baby where fine And the doc told the couple Just to let them rest For a few days. © 2009 dead poet 79 |
