Close your eyes...A Poem by David TheakerWhat the darkness does to your fears.Close your eyes, what do you see?
The lack of form, meaning, and reason, No changing colors in the season. The childrens' voices fall short of audible And the pines' scent fails to fill my nostrils. No laughter, no singing, no smiles, No loving couples roam the streets or isles. Behind my eyelids is a massive unending shadow Who can impede on all vivacity; turned to sorrow. So for those who dream, those who invision happiness, Keep dreaming, make up for those who live in darkness. © 2012 David Theaker |
