One More Angel

One More Angel

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
"

dedicated to my friend Joanie and her family as they grieve the loss of her sister taken too soon. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

"

One more angel

Deserving of flight

Has completed her grace

To earn her wings.

Least we not forget

That heaven’s gain

Doesn’t ease the pain

On earth

That will be felt eternally.

There is no comfort in death;

Only acceptance

Of the inevitable.

Pushing on after the loss

Of a loved one

Is like rolling a boulder uphill.

Thought you may never

Reach the top

Let the pain of trying

Be the unconditional tribute

To a life always alive

In your heart.

thank you you so much for your beautiful poem to my sister, I really appreciate it. I am going through a tough time, yet my positive attitude will help me create a new happiness... She was a fighter... and I plan on looking at life as a beautiful journey to eternity!!.. thank you again!!!

This is a beautiful and positive poem. It reminded me of my aunt that passed away 2 years ago and what we went through. I'm sure if someone wrote something so nice for us, the blow would have been made a lot easier for us to handle. It's sweet that you did this.

You're always been a knight in shining armour, you always will be; this is empathy in the most gallant fashion and more than sincere. You have the knack of using style and words fitting to the topic, this is far, far more. Bless you, Dale, bless that dear courageous woman.

Hard to accept loss of someone. A very sad poem. Your words are true.
"Let the pain of trying
Be the unconditional tribute
To a life always alive
In your heart."
The above words are all we can do. Thank you for the amazing poetry.

"Reach the top
Let the pain of trying
Be the unconditional tribute
To a life always alive
In your heart."

This line really nailed the poem! It's really deep and full of wisdom, and inspirational. The lost ones who have left us WOULD want us to live a happy life (which also includes reaching for our goals and trying our best).

Memories of those who have gone before us. This is very beautifully written. A tribute within itself.
