I know this feeling, this yearning, this want.
"I only wish you were the wind, then I wouldn't have to hold my breath when I breathe"...
Beautiful and ironically, breath taking:)
Dale this piece is so heartfelt! What beautiful imagining, of the freedom held in the wind so gently caressing.
From beginning to end this write flows with remarkable meaning.
Still knowing my friend, you will find the breathe needed! Blessed Be ~ :-)
Tis everything, tis wind .. it's like a playful kitten, a purring tom and a wild creature arriving from nowhere and each does what it does.. and when it comes to sharing the air with someone wanted, it's a treasure chest that beckons togetherness. Your words have really set me thinking, start to finish. Your style varies, your themes alter time from time - great.
I have to admit when I first read the last lines I thought she stunk. LOL
A great poem as always Dale, you never disappoint. Someday I wish to have your kind of consistency.
The wind is captivating, it goes from soft and tender to a raging beast, it must be Irish- lol, I love how you give this image of wind the human touch. The ending makes you want to leap right in.
wow; the audiacity to select the wind and hold your breath to select what you breathe...if only that could really be - thank you for sharing and igniting my imagination - i love the courage of this expression.
It's better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool
