Uptown doesn’t mean

You are down

With the beat.

Money may not

By happiness

But it sure can

Finance madness.

 

Cut the ties

Cause the

Puppeteer

Doesn’t know better,

Only the joy

Of how pulling

The strings

Moves his pocket.

 

Don’t let them

Play with your head

Like a toy

In a square.

Remember that

Jack In The Box

Only pops out on cue.

 

A mushroom

Is a vegetable

And you are not

On life support.

Don’t help

Their garden grow.

Till and enrich

Your own soul

So you can feed

The world

On your own.

Phenomenal stanza and the continuation of toy relations to money... This is really perceptive and perfectly penned toward the message. I had to read this a few times because I have to really appreciate how much it all connects. Stunning read!
