Life Gets UglyA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Lyrics I wrote for a power ballad Born
into this world With
a father burnt out And
a mother wasting away. Life
was over Before
her first birthday Till
the state stepped in As
a saving grace. The
strange lady sang As
she took her away. Life
is a blessing Interrupted
by curses. It
may be ugly now But
that’s what brings The
beauty out. Such
a charming couple Full
of love, unable to conceive. Praying
every night For
a child in their lives. Bliss
burned in their eyes When
the call came That
a miracle had arrived. The
angel lady sang Before
handing the girl away. Life
is a blessing Interrupted
by curses. It
may be ugly now But
that’s what brings The
beauty out. Years
went buy Happiness
remained. A
complete family Like
she was their own, they
were all she’d known. The
headlines read “Blaze
leaves family in dire straights” Reporters
on the scene As
the community arrives To
rebuild their dream The
news anchor begins to sing A
song she mysteriously Knows
by heart. Life
is a blessing Interrupted
by curses. It
may be ugly now But
that’s what brings The
beauty out. © 2012 The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)Reviews
